Anonymous: how do you stay friends with someone when you don't agree with the things she's doing, even though it doesn't drectly affect you?

i guess it really depends on how bad the things she’s doing really is? i mean if she’s throwing herself off the deep end, getting herself in dangerous situations all night, drugs all day, not working, only partying, no plans, no safety net sort of thing, maybe you either have to pull her out of it or leave because that’s not good for you…

but if it’s something that’s more of a phase, like a shitty boyfriend she’s kind of seeing, just be ready and wait it out. It is her life after all, you can’t make her do what you want.

I think only if what she’s doing really starts to affect you - like for example, she doesn’t make time for you anymore, she doesn’t seem to care, or her poor choices are rubbing off on you or something, that’s when i think it’s time to re-access your friendship.
